What I collect

Depending on how you use TORRGLEN, I may collect:

  • Account info — your email address, and your name if you provide it. TORRGLEN uses passwordless magic-link sign-in: you enter your email and I send you a link that signs you in. There are no passwords.
  • Swing media — the videos and photos you upload for analysis, and the frames and thumbnails automatically derived from them during processing.
  • Usage & device data — basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how pages are used, plus cookies (including an anonymous device ID for your swing history before you sign in, and affiliate-attribution cookies if you arrive through a referral or affiliate link).
  • Anything you send me — messages, form submissions, and notes about your golf game.

How I use it

I use this information to sign you in and keep your Swing Vault together across devices, to run your swing analyses and show your results, to process payments, to send the transactional email you need (like sign-in links) and the newsletter you asked for, and to operate and improve the site and TORRGLEN. I don’t sell your personal information.

Your swing videos

When you use TORRGLEN swing analysis, your video is uploaded so it can be processed (normalized, key frames extracted) and analyzed. Processed swings are saved to your private history so you can compare swings over time. Frames from your swing video are sent to an AI provider to generate your results (see below). Swing videos are not used to train AI models. You can delete any individual swing (and its video) at any time from the swing page or your history, and you can delete your whole account at any time (see “Your rights” below).

Third parties I share data with

I keep the number of processors small and only use them for the purposes below. I don’t sell your data to any of them.

  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans and coaching. When a payment completes, Stripe notifies TORRGLEN so your plan is activated.
  • Resend / email (SMTP) — sends transactional email, including your magic-link sign-in emails and swing-result emails.
  • OpenRouter / OpenAI — AI swing analysis. Selected frames from your swing video (by default via the gpt-4o-mini model) are sent to generate your feedback. Your swings are not used to train models.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics. This runs only when analytics is enabled for the site; it does not track you across other websites.
  • Amazon Associates — some gear links are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one, Amazon’s own privacy policy governs what happens on their site. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Data retention

Your account and swings are kept while your account is active so your history stays available. When you delete a swing, its video and derived frames are removed. When you delete your account, your account record and all of your swings and their media are permanently removed. I keep only what I need to operate the service and meet legal or accounting obligations (for example, payment records held by Stripe).

Your rights

You’re in control of your data:

  • Export — download a copy of your account details and all your swings’ data from your account page.
  • Delete — permanently delete your account, all your swings, and their media yourself from your account page. No email request needed.
  • Unsubscribe — leave the newsletter anytime using the link in any email.

I only add you to The Range Report when you ask me to. Creating a TORRGLEN account does not subscribe you — email opt-in is always a separate, explicit choice.
